Director Background
Andy began his journalistic career on the local newspaper he used to deliver as a paper-boy - The St Albans Review.
After three years on local papers, he became a reporter on the then daily pub trade title, The Morning Advertiser. His career in the trade media took him to The Publican, Off Licence News and Duty-Free News International.
Since turning freelance in 2003, he has edited Hotel & Restaurant magazine and continues to write for various publications.
Andy Burnyeat is an NCTJ-Qualified journalist with 15 years’ experience in the business. Ask any journalist which type of PR person they enjoy working with and they will always say former journalists as they are on the same wavelength.
That’s because experience has taught them that traditional PR people irritate them with needless phone-calls and, all-too-frequently, bury truly useful stories in the middle of long-winded and badly-written press releases.
